Source: Where did I come from?
The sin of Adam described in the third chapter of Genesis separated the entire human race from God. However, through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, you can be reconciled to God and come to know the power of His love as your Heavenly Father. Here is a prayer that you can pray from your heart to restore your connection to God:
“Heavenly Father, I accept Your unfailing love for me and Your free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. I ask You to forgive my sins and I now invite Jesus into my heart as my Savior and Lord.”
Congratulations! This is the most important decision you will ever make in your life. Tell someone about it. You are now on your way to getting to know the person God created you to be.
Get a clue
This is what is true about you based on the biblical account of creation in the first chapter of Genesis:
- God is the Source from which you originated. When God created you and the entire human race in Adam, He spoke to Himself and, in a sense, drew you out of Himself. However, in creating other life forms, God spoke to sources other than Himself. He spoke to the earth to bring forth plants and animals, and to the ocean for marine life.
- Your origin in God makes you, along with other human beings, the hallmark of God’s creation.
- Your inherent value is great because you originated in God, you belong to God’s human family, and He delights in lavishing His perfect unfailing love on you.
